making art work |
|||
The first stage in selecting art is normally for one of our art consultants to visit you on site to discuss the art brief and assess location, size, style and most appropriate media for art works. Art must be placed with regard for the function of a space: different types of art are appropriate for different areas. They will also advise on framing and any other special requirements such as security fixings, non-reflective glass and special lighting The art consultant will then source and present, either at our Galleries or on-site, a selection of art appropriate for the business and building. Extensive databases of art and the facility to superimpose the artwork on electronic images of an interior promote quicker and easier communication when selecting images and artists. The art consultant will oversee and project manage the production of any commissioned artwork, ensuring completion and installation on time and within budget, supported by appropriate lighting and maintenance plans. Throughout they will liaise and communicate closely with the client, architect, interior designer, structural engineers and other contractors as necessary.
